The Channel Islands are the best kept secret in the National Park system—with 2,000 species of plants and animals, including 145 endemics. To reach this awe-inspiring National Park, you need a ship. Travel with us aboard the 50-cabin National Geographic Venture, on this five-day wellness and wildness expedition, and we will discover three of the five islands of the Channel Islands National Park, as well as Catalina Island. Explore by expedition landing craft, walking the trails, kayaking, paddle boarding, or photographing landscapes and bird colonies. Hike in a Torrey Pine grove (one of only two on Earth), through a river of pinecones and enjoy a picnic lunch with sweeping views of the land and natural harbor. See iconic animals—American bison, bald eagles, and Channel Island fox. And learn about the islands’ human history, from the early ranches to their current protected status. Lastly, enjoy a visit to the famous community of Avalon—or you may opt to go scuba diving if you are certified—then return to the ship for a farewell dinner and evening under the stars.

• Explore fascinating sea caves by kayak 
• Challenge body and mind with fitness classes
• Stroll white-sand beaches or spend time exploring bustling tide pools
• Take in panoramic views and spectacular landscapes on mindfulness hikes with post-hike assisted stretching sessions
• Enjoy a sunset cocktail party on deck, then end the day with stargazing
