OSU Ambassador: David Bernell, associate professor of political science at Oregon State University
David Bernell is an associate professor of political science at Oregon State University, specializing in U.S. foreign policy, international relations and U.S. energy policy. He has served in the U.S. Office of Management and Budget and the Department of the Interior, shaping policy at the federal level. He is also the author of the books The Energy Security Dilemma: US Policy and Practice, and Constructing US Foreign Policy: The Curious Case of Cuba. His research and experience offer a view of how evolving policies impact global politics, business and diplomatic relations. David is not only a much-loved professor at Oregon State, but he was the OSU ambassador for two trips to Cuba and Egypt, and he is excited to head back to Cuba on this tour.
