OSU Foundation - Knute Buehler

Dr. Buehler is an orthopedic surgeon, past president and managing partner at The Center for Orthopedic & Neurological Care and Research in Bend, Oregon. He is also the owner and president of Buehler Research and Design, an orthopedic consulting and productive development company he founded in 2000. Dr. Buehler served as Oregon State Representative for the 54th district from 2015 to 2019 and campaigned for governor of Oregon in 2018. Dr. Buehler joined the OSU Foundation in 2013 and serves on the External Relations Committee and the Committee on Trustees. Dr. Buehler was a member of the OSU-Cascades Advocacy and Advisory Board from 1999-2007.

Dr. Buehler was a first generation graduate of Oregon State University in 1986 with a B.S. in microbiology. He was the first Rhodes Scholar in OSU history and was a member of the OSU baseball team. He earned an M.A. from Oxford University in politics and economics in 1990, and his M.D. from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in 1991
