2023 Year End Giving

Important Deadlines

OSU Foundation office hours for the end of the year (all times Pacific):

Monday, December 25 - closed
Tuesday-Friday, December 26-29 - 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday, December 30 - 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 
Sunday, December 31 - closed

Gifts may be hand-delivered to the Corvallis office until 5 p.m. Pacific Time on Saturday, December 30; the office will be open with limited staff. Note: The office will be closed on Sunday, December 31.

 

Checks:

Gifts made by check must be postmarked by Sunday, December 31. Please write checks to the "OSU Foundation" and indicate which fund you are supporting on the memo line.

 

Credit Cards:

Gifts made by credit card can be made online before 9 p.m. Pacific Time on Sunday, December 31. Please remember, however, that the legal date of the gift for a credit card donation is the date the bank authorizes the charge.

 

Gifts of Securities:

Securities received by the OSU Foundation’s brokerage account by Friday, December 29, will be eligible for a 2023 tax deduction. Note that securities transfers should be initiated at least a week in advance of the year's end. Contact Kevin Harvey or Kristi Tracy with questions.

 

Gifts from IRAs/ IRA Charitable Rollover:

Donors wishing to take advantage of the IRA Charitable Rollover provision (make a Qualified Charitable Distribution, QCD) for 2023 must ensure the funds are transferred and received by the OSU Foundation by Saturday, December 30. Contact Darla Meyers with questions.
